A Week of Discovery

8th Grade Fall Camp Trip

This past week, we traveled north for an unforgettable adventure of learning, reflection, and perseverance. From the natural wonders of Sinks Canyon to the rich history at Heart Mountain, students explored, reflected, and grew together, returning with stories and memories that will carry them through the year ahead.

Highlights included hands-on research at the McCracken Library, a challenging summit hike where students left stones as symbols of gratitude and hope, and meaningful service at the Heart Mountain Nature Preserve. Along the way, we witnessed resilience, teamwork, and joy—through hikes, campfires, soccer games, and even glitter-filled fun.

Challenges like rainstorms, steep climbs, and late-night surprises only strengthened the group, showing their grit, humor, and support for one another. A toast on our final evening—set against a golden sunset and a double rainbow—reminded us of the bonds formed when learning, exploring, and reflecting together.

We are deeply grateful to all who guided and supported this journey and to our students for their curiosity, courage, and heart. This trip has planted seeds of connection, resilience, and wonder that will flourish throughout the year.
