Learning to play an instrument brings more than music to students’ lives—it encourages the brain to work at a faster pace and to think abstractly, all while building a student’s confidence.
With our Strings curriculum, students can become more competent in their music playing and performances. For all lower and middle school students, we offer the chance to learn to play a string instrument, building their confidence as performers. We also offer opportunities for students to be involved in large and small performances throughout the year. Once they reach upper school, students are given the choice to continue on with their instrumental training or to pursue other creative outlets.
All students choose a stringed instrument and play through at least the 6th grade, many continue in the prestigious high school orchestra. Incorporating the Suzuki Method students gain a lifelong understanding and appreciation of the language of music.
