Trip Update
Our Costa Rica Global Studies trip met in Denver on Sunday evening and began their quick trip to San Jose. They arrived and checked into their hotel around dinner time. On Tuesday they traveled to San Luis where they spent the next few days learning about the small but warm and welcoming community located in the Monteverde cloud forest, with amazing access to wildlife, trails, and incredible scenery, doing trail work along the Sendero Pacifico which is a network of hiking trails linking the Monteverde Cloud Forest to the mangroves in the Gulf of Nicoya
Monteverde Cloud Forest and Mangroves in the Gulf of Nicoya. This area is one of the most biologically diverse regions in the country. This service work was followed by dance classes and coffee tours where students dove into the culture and economies of the region.
