2nd Grade Teacher
We are seeking a dynamic and collaborative 2nd Grade Teacher for the 25-26 school year. This position will directly report to the Director of Teaching & Learning K-8 and will be responsible for developing curriculum, designing lessons, and engaging students in high-quality learning. Candidates should be familiar with differentiated instruction so that each child has the opportunity to do work that is appropriately challenging. The ideal candidate has at least five years of experience teaching to elementary or middle school-aged students.
K-12 SMS Teacher-in-Residence Program
The Steamboat Mountain School (SMS) Teacher-In-Residence program is an experiential opportunity designed for early-career educators and recent college graduates interested in independent school teaching. Participants engage in teaching and learning across our Kindergarten to Twelfth Grade academic, experiential, and boarding programs (9th – 12th). Each resident is paired with a mentor, leads outdoor programming, and supports boarding students on campus. This 10-month program includes room accommodation in the faculty dormitory and meals served in the US dining hall according to the daily schedule.
