Fourteener Expeditions

The magic of the hills and the magic of the peaks is one and the same. I, too, must find this magic within my own heart, and within the hearts of all of my students, and within the heart of my co-leader, and within the hearts of all of humankind, or risk being banished forevermore to wander with the wind – perhaps happily, but not without loss. And so, whether the summit is reached or not, we all grow wildly radiant under the glow of an open sky – for, the magic of the hills and the magic of the peaks is one and the same – finding the beauty of the changing brush and aspens reflected within our own hearts, and the beauty of our hearts reflected upon the vibrant landscape of color that fills the valleys, hills, and plains.
