If a family chooses to apply for flexible tuition through Clarity, qualifies, and funds remain, SMS’s tuition will be adjusted to meet your family’s unique financial position.

2026-2027 Lower School Student

With flexible tuition, Lower School families pay a range of tuition amounts based on their income during the 2026–27 school year.

2026-2027 Middle School Student

With flexible tuition, Middle School families pay a range of tuition amounts based on their income during the 2026–27 school year.

*Every Middle School student’s tuition already includes all costs of outdoor trips and an international 8th grade trip, no add-on fees.

2026-2027 Upper School Day Tuition

With flexible tuition, Upper School day families pay a range of tuition amounts based on their income during the 2026–27 school year.

We realize that considering Steamboat Mountain School for your student’s education requires not only a commitment to our philosophy of learning but also a significant financial investment. This financial commitment should not be a barrier when it comes to providing your student with the best possible education, which is why we offer flexible tuition to qualifying families. On average, about 35-40% of our students have received some level of financial assistance.

In addition, Steamboat Mountain School offers merit scholarships to recognize the diverse talents, achievements, and aspirations of our exceptional students. These awards honor global scholars, competitive snow sport athletes, and students who embody our values.
