Mark Gustavson brings extensive leadership experience from a variety of educational settings, ranging from lower to high school, traditional public schools to IB schools to Montessori programs, smaller and larger schools, while working on both urban campuses and in more rural settings. He has experience leading global immersion programs and launching international student exchange programs. Most recently, Mark served as the Head of School at Montessori School of Evergreen, where he led a successful dual accreditation process, created pedagogical alignment across the curriculum, and helped to unify a school with dual campuses. Mark holds a BA in History from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, and a Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership from NYU. As a former software developer, Mark brings a systems thinking approach to his work in schools: he loves scheduling, is skillful with technology, and has a passion for creative problem solving.
