Kristi grew up in a small town in central Texas. After graduating in 2010 with a B.S. in Mathematics from The University of Texas at Austin, she began her teaching career at a public high school in Austin. One year later Kristi moved to Seattle, Washington to be with her then-boyfriend, now-husband, Chris. For 12 years Kristi taught at a public high school outside of Seattle. During that time, she earned a M.Ed. in Curriculum and Instruction from The University of Washington, a M.Ed. in Instructional Design from Western Governors University, as well as a National Board Certification in Mathematics (AYA). In 2023 Kristi, Chris, and their two kids (Owen, 5, and Emerson, 3) moved from Seattle to Steamboat. After one year at the emerald campus teaching middle school math, Kristi returned to teaching high school at the mountain campus. When she’s not out on the slopes or the trails with her kids, Kristi can be found reading a book, working out, or watching soccer.
