Arya began his teaching career in the mountains of southwest China, where he taught elementary and middle school English for two years. Since then, a PhD in history and East Asian languages has taken him to classrooms and archives from Boston to Beijing. As an educator, Arya is most passionate about helping students become clearer, more confident writers and thinkers. Outside of school, he enjoys mountain air, NBA basketball, and all manner of caffeinated beverages. He will also participate fully in the Mountain Campus residential duty program.
