Jessica Berg is a violinist and Suzuki violin and viola teacher. She loves teaching in Steamboat Mountain School’s immersive K-8 Strings program, and also maintains a busy private studio. Before moving back to Steamboat in 2016, Jessica spent 18 years teaching with Boulder Suzuki Strings, and in her own program in Denver. She enjoys playing with the Steamboat Symphony Orchestra, and is a violinist in the Steamboat Symphony String quartet. She also serves as the SSO’s Music Librarian. Jessica is a certified Suzuki Early Childhood Education teacher, and taught some of the first SECE classes in Colorado in 2015 as part of Prelude Music, LLC. Jessica is also a yoga instructor and has taught yoga for musicians and violin at workshops including Peaks to Plains Suzuki Institute in Colorado, Intermezzo Chamber Music Sessions in Denver, Colorado, The Suzuki Association of Hawaii’s Winter Workshop in Honolulu, HI and the Suzuki Winter Workshop in Denver, Colorado. Jessica is happy to make her home in Steamboat with her husband, and enjoys the amenities of the mountain lifestyle – hiking, skiing and a rich artistic community.
