We are excited that you have found us, a small boarding and day college-preparatory school nestled in the mountains of lovely Steamboat Springs, Colorado. Here students can access rigorous academics and challenging outdoor adventures right in our backyard.
Applications and materials should be submitted by February 15th. Students who apply by this deadline will receive priority in the application process. We will consider applications after this deadline if space remains.
Notification of our decisions will be sent to families mid-March on a rolling basis. Any complete applications submitted will receive notification two weeks after the application is received.
Mid-Year Entry Applicants: Steamboat Mountain School does accept applications for mid-year entry. Applications for admission received at times other than at the beginning of the academic year are processed on a rolling basis. Please contact Pearson Alspach for additional information.
Follow these 5 steps to complete Steamboat Mountain School’s application process:
To schedule a campus visit email Pearson Alspach or call 970-879-1350, x18. We strongly encourage all applicants to visit the school. Typically the interview is completed during a campus visit, and prospective students have the opportunity to visit classes. If circumstances preclude an in-person interview, the Admissions Office will make other arrangements.
The application fee is $100 ($200 for international applications) to be paid via credit card. Once you complete the on-line application, you will be directed to a secure on-line payment page.
Once your on-line application is completed, you can download the teacher recommendations forms and the transcript release form or access them below:
Please ask the teachers writing on your behalf to submit the forms via email (preferred) to Pearson Alspach or mail to:
